In Memory of Stephanie Anne Collins-Russell (’85)
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our classmate, Stephanie Anne Collins-Russell, on March 7, 2026, at the age of 58.
Stephanie was a proud member of the West Seattle High School Class of 1985 and later graduated from the University of Washington. Many knew her professionally through her work in physician recruiting at Virginia Mason, where she helped bring outstanding healthcare providers to our community.
Outside of work, Stephanie found joy in the outdoors, especially scuba diving, photography, and exploring the beauty of the Pacific Northwest with friends. Those who knew her remember her for her kindness, generosity, adventurous spirit, and infectious laugh. She built deep friendships that lasted a lifetime, and her loss has been felt by many.
As classmates, we often assume there will always be another reunion, another chance encounter, or another opportunity to reconnect. Stephanie’s passing is a reminder to cherish those connections and to reach out to the people who have shared our journey through life.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to Stephanie’s husband, family, and the many friends whose lives she touched.
Rest in peace, Steph. You will always be a part of the West Seattle High School Class of 1985 family.
